A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. As Vercel is based in the USA, a transfer to a third country may occur. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) are used as a safeguard.
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected.
When you submit the contact form, your details (name, email address, phone number, topic, message) are sent to our server (Vercel) and delivered to us by email via the service Resend. The provider is Resend, Inc. (USA), acting as a processor; the transfer to the USA is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and on handling your enquiry / pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Your data is used solely to process the enquiry and is not passed on without your consent.
This website uses no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Only your privacy choice (consent to loading external content) is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This storage is technically necessary and exempt from consent pursuant to § 25(2) TDDDG.
External content (see section 7) is loaded only after your active consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Privacy settings" link in the footer.
The fonts used (Archivo, IBM Plex Mono) are served locally from our own server. There is no connection to third-party servers for this purpose (in particular not to Google Fonts); no personal data is transmitted to third parties.
To display our location, a map from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom) may be embedded. The map is loaded only after your explicit consent. When loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. An EU Commission adequacy decision exists for the United Kingdom. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time.
To book appointments, a calendar from Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA) may be embedded. The calendar is loaded only after your explicit consent. In the process, data – including your IP address and the details you provide for the booking – is transmitted to Calendly. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. The transfer to the USA is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from “http://" to “https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
The German version of this privacy policy is legally binding.
